2013 Summer Hairstyles

Hands down, Summer is my favorite season! I love the beautiful weather, the beaches, the fashions, BBQ's, hanging out with family and friends...I mean I could go on and on but as a hairstylist I especially love the beautiful summer hairstyles. This year every braid imaginable is in style; fishtail, waterfall, french, braided bangs, and braids artfully placed in updos. Long hair with natural waves, loose ponytails, and messed short-mid length hair keep with the effortless hippie chic vibe of the Summer.

 

April Hair

UGH! It feels like it's been forever since my last blog post. April was a busy busy month. So now that I have a moment I thought I'd post some pictures of the lovely hair I had the opportunity to do this month. Enjoy! :)

 

 

 

Colorful Spring Hair

Beautiful flowers are starting to bloom so it's only natural that we want those vibrant flower colors in our hair! Pastels and fun fashion colors are all the rage this Spring. This popular hair color trend has been seen on many social networking sites like Pinterest and is printed all over countless fashion based magazines. I LOVE fun hair color so of course I couldn't wait to try out this colorful trend on myself. I brightened up the ends of my hair using a violet based color with a splash of red. Spring 2013 Hair Color Trends



Last week was 'supposidly' the first day of Spring. Too bad it felt more like the DEAD of Winter! I am so ready for the Spring weather, fashions, and most of all the new hair color trends. After attending America's Beauty Show this year I saw a lot of beautiful upcoming hair color trends. Instead of the dramatic ombre coloring we are now seeing a more subtle version of the very dimensional color. Redheads are becoming increasingly popular with a bright copper hue. Deep red violets are perfect for those daring clients that want a bold pop of color. The classic brunettes are now dark with rich chocolatey undertones. I'm hoping the sun will start to show its face soon. Spring will then be here in full swing so clients can start to brighten up their winter locks!
